Quick Start Instructions for opening the NewsTeam rundown template (Inception calls them Running Orders)

Login to Inception

Content > Running Orders

Once you're logged into the Inception main page, locate the Content buttons (upper left of the screen). The first button on the left is called Running Orders. Click on that and the Running Order Manager page opens.

Click Create Running Order.

This opens the New Running Order window, which shows an Attributes Tab and MOS Devices.

Click From Template and choose

Template NewsTeam_MM_DD_YY

Change the name field

Remove the word Template from the

name and fill in the date

NewsTeam_MM_DD_YY

(type the date of the broadcast and leave the underscores intact)

Start Date - change the date to the current newscast. Also, indicate the time the newscast starts, which is 12:00:00 PM

End Date - make sure the date is the same and the end time is 12:20:00 PM

(The example illustrated here is for a 30 minute show, but the Spring 2018 class will do a 20 minute show)

Click OK and the new rundown will open. You can now start working within this rundown.

Close any windows that you're not working in.
